You said that you loved me and that you would let me know You said that you’d leave me but that you wont let me go And I could be my own true love you know Said I could be my own true love you know I dreamed you’d defeat me like some fallen soldier assured I passed through your valley of death just to end at your door And I could be my own true love you know Said I could be my own true love you know And I could be my own true love you know Said I could be my own true love you know Awake at the window of morning to see inside Ill call you reflection ill call you the bastion of pride And I could be my own true love you know Said I could be my own true love you know And I could be my own true love you know Said I could be my own true love you know You know You know You know

Does it break your heart to know you’ll end up alone? Did you invite your ghost to find that no one was home? And its hard you’ll find to learn to settle yourself And if you fail, you put it on someone else Its no way to be found at the table in mourn Your love…forlorn I saw you standing in shame you left your teeth in his sleeve The words that used to come out were only aching to leave And its hard you’ll find to set it all back in place Just like the broken bones of ritualistic grace Its no way to stand round, so press your lips to the horn Your love…forlorn Into the empty of age the signs are leading you here A song to echo a sin, a wretch returns to the clear And it’s the palm of your hand and on the tip of your tongue You know the reasons are hid and that the fall has begun So wash the blood from your hands and wipe the sweat from your eyes Cant take the note from the song cant pull the boy from the child Now tell true, what to do when all your pages are torn Your love…forlorn ------ when you awake pull the dead from the hold the answers you find and a truth to be told try just to love pull the dark from your eyes and sleep now my dear my dear my dear my dear my dear

I'm Your Man 03:58
If you need me, do you call out my name When you want me do you shoulder all the blame Oh and someday, someday When you cry well ill be there And you’ll know that im the one and you’ll be sure That Im your man. --- In the aching of our hour left far behind When im wasted, oh my god I need your line Oh and when we, when we When we bend until we break Oh you’ll know that im the one and you’ll be sure That im your man If you’re losing, you should know I always win Oh my trifles throw my tongue into the wind Oh and someday, someday When you cry well ill be there And you’ll know that im the one and you’ll be sure That im your man Yes you’ll know that im the one and you’ll be sure That im your man. --- Call out my name call out my name call out my name wont you call out my name (4x)

Always 03:08
Wake up, its not your fault If im dead weight anyway If its all clear, id like to lay here with you Its our life, we can do what we want Don’t let the bastards tell you how to cry Cos youre my girl, ill protect you always Always I know its been on your mind It broke my heart to know how hard you tried And if I could you know I would take it away. Take it away. --- And wherever you go I want you near I need you by my side and to keep me here Cos I love you more than this And in that I can believe --- From small towns to the greatest of heights Beneath the light of all you did for me. If it means that, it could make me stay. --- And wherever I go I want you near I need you by my side and to keep me here Cos I love you more than this And in that I can believe In that I can believe I can believe

Lost On You 02:47
Baby would you ever tell me if maybe I could be the hero tonight And would you ever show me the way Honey it doesn’t mean a thing to me Money it doesn’t give a damn for you So would you ever show me the way --- And my obsessive eyes are lost on you Lost on things I do not say or do So put your lights out honey, the lights out your money honey Your little friend will get you when you never could expect it honey. Lights out honey, the lights out your money honey Your little friend will get you when you never could expect it --- Baby let me take your little hand Maybe you’ll show me how to be a man If I could ever notice the change Honey for all the things you do to me Funny im such a stubborn fuck for you I think im gonna notice the change. --- And my obsessive eyes are lost on you Lost on things I do not say or do So put your lights out honey, the lights out your money honey Your little friend will get you when you never could expect it honey. Lights out honey, the lights out your money honey Your little friend will get you when you never could expect it --- Baby would you ever tell me if maybe I could be the hero tonight
6.
Time goes by and hardly seems to care My friends are getting hitched and Im invited to their celebration Trying to find the time to pull ahead But im tired and barely able to sit down at the table --- And I don’t know what to do But if you’ll follow me back down I would love you like no one’s ever loved before --- So here I am im standing at the door Of a girl I fell apart for and apart from what is mine And oh my god how can I be afraid For one who should deserve the world to tie my hands to just one girl --- And I don’t know what to say But if you’ll follow me back down And turn your heart around I would love you like no ones ever loved before --- So please don’t put me down or be confused Im a mess so please excuse me but it doesn’t mean I love you Any less?
7.
Just one more night, for my American blood You never know just where you’re going Until you’re coming back If you could pierce my heart well I could be your romeo So many times I tried to let it lie And I cant help but try. --- And I don’t ever want to leave When I feel like there’s work to do But sometimes you lay it on the line Just to see what you’re made of --- Yeah I miss my home, there’s my mother in the yard When they say “you cant go back” Well I say “whats lost is gone” --- And I don’t ever want to leave When I feel like there’s work to do But sometimes you lay it on the line Just to see what you’re made of --- And love is still the way To mend a broken heart If love is still the way Then mend my broken heart --- Maybe we’re just scared. Maybe im just throwing stones But I know you lay it on the line Cos “love” is the only word I do believe in
8.
I don’t know why. I don’t know when. I don’t know why. I don’t know when, you had to go There’s trouble down beneath your breast. There’s trouble down beneath your breast. You’re gonna leave me Oh but if Jesus cant save me, Lord I don’t know who will. I don’t know where, Which way you’ve gone. I don’t know where, which way you’ve gone, So on I roll They laid you down to take your rest. They laid you down to take your rest, And speak no more Oh but if Jesus can’t save me, Lord I don’t know who will. I feel the dirt upon my feet. I feel the dirt upon my feet. I’m coming soon.

Does It? 03:22
You can lose your mind Or you give it away You can trade in your words For what you wanted to say You can break your heart Or I can tear it in two I can turn it around But it’ll never be anew Take your time don’t it feel strange to rearrange Don’t you leave it on the shelf Someday you’ll know that its impossible When the fall comes to your door don’t you fret for more Don’t let fear win over heart Boy don’t you know that’s impossible You can lie through your teeth Or play a fool in the night You can wake with a ghost Or a bird in the light You can build your walls Build em up to the sky You can press your luck To see over the rise Take your time don’t it feel strange to rearrange Don’t you leave it on the shelf Someday you’ll know that its impossible When the fall comes to your door don’t you fret for more Don’t let fear win over heart Boy don’t you know that’s impossible And it’s a deafening sound In the pale light of the moon Listening…shh…waiting around Knowing something’s gonna be happening soon
10.
Ribbon 05:21
Take the ribbon from your eyes Untie your sorrow from mine And you were the pretty one ‘til your skin once turned to brine so don’t tell me that everything is fine covet your trials for sirens crucify your honor for thieves and you were the martyred one ‘til your hands were turned to thyme so don’t tell me that everything is fine I cant wait for tomorrow To sing sorrow from the wake Skin my teeth for another Oh I hope you’re ok. But your arms were mournful and tender As our vows slipped softly to the floor And you were the only one Til true love found your front line I guess true love ain’t that hard to find
11.
Father help me understand And pull forth a coin from my hand To buy me resistance to the failures of men Father help me understand Brother don’t break my heart so Id trade in this sunshine for snow And a day in the world before she had to go Brother don’t break my heart so --- With no place to go back to now No place to go back to now No place to go back to now That I have no place to go back to now. --- Lover don’t trouble your dreams With thoughts of what it all might mean Id trade you my soul for the stitch of your seams Love don’t trouble your dreams --- With no place to go back to now No place to go back to now No place to go back to now That I have no place to go back to now. --- And mother don’t count out in loss Space between the shadows on the cross If Jesus was a sailor then from the sea he was tossed Mother don’t count out in loss --- With no place to go back to now No place to go back to now No place to go back to now That I have no place to go back to now
